To celebrate African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust’s (ACLT) 20 year journey, the charity is hosting a 5k family fun run/walk.
ACLT is a 30+ times award winning leading British blood cancer charity, founded in 1996 by Beverley De-Gale, OBE and Orin Lewis, OBE, 3 years after receiving the devastating news that their 6 year old son Daniel De-Gale needed a life-saving stem cell transplant in order to win his 6 year battle against acute leukaemia.
The family friendly 5k is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. You can run, walk or jog along the traffic free 5k course in South London’s Brockwell Park. Wear ACLT colours (red, white or grey) or your favourite costume – superhero?
Run 5 in memory of Daniel, your loved one or to support family, friends, colleagues or others battling blood cancers and those in urgent need of a stem cell or organ transplant.
Help by raising awareness and funds to assist ACLT register greater numbers of stem cell, blood and organ donors.
Our very own prince of soca Martin Jay along with a few others known as the Soca Army are taking part in the 5K race in aim to raise £1000 between us. Can you help them reach that target ?
